Introducing the SAT Exam – Your Ticket to University in the USA & Vietnam

1. What is SAT?

SATScholastic Assessment Test) is a standardized test administered by College Board The organization is recognized by over 4,000 universities in the United States and hundreds of educational institutions in 85 countries. Since 2024, the exam has completely switched to a digital format. Listening SAT, The exam was computer-based, adaptive, and shortened to 2 hours and 14 minutes.

2. Why should I take the SAT?

3. Digital SAT Structure

*Adaptive test*: Module 2 of each section will automatically adjust its difficulty based on the results of Module 1 → shorter test while maintaining accuracy.

4. Distribution of Mathematical Knowledge

• Algebra Focus ≃ 35 % – expressions, first-degree equations, systems of equations, inequalities.
• Advanced Mathematics Foundation ≃ 35 % – quadratic polynomial, exponential-log function, rational function.
• Problem Solving & Data Analysis ≃ 15 % – ratio, percentage, 1-2 variable statistics, probability.
• Geometry & Trigonometry ≃ 15 % – circle, 3-D volume, sin-cos-tan.

The SAT is held seven times a year (March, May, June, August, October, November, and December). Register at least one month before the test date. sat.collegeboard.org. International fees: ~103 USD.

*The number of places available based on SAT scores is usually less than 10 (% total) – applicants should apply early and prepare their English-language documents.
